COMPONENT REPAIR
Our process typically involves a customer sending a component to us for assessment, which can be a stand-alone job or an integrated part of our Service Exchange program. The component is blasted on-site in our blast facility, stripped, cleaned and inspected before a quote is completed and agreed upon prior to any further work.
Transmissions, torque convertors and hydraulic pumps are all rebuilt in our purposely designed & constructed Clean Room in accordance with AS/NZS 14644.4:2002. Other drive line components are rebuilt in our component assembly bay, then painted in our on-site down-draft paint booth.
If relevant, comprehensive Dynamometer testing is completed before dispatch back to the customer.

COMPONENT TESTING
Murray Engineering also offers component testing as a standalone service for a wide range of clients who specialise in torque converter and transmission refurbishments, but require testing for their own customer base. All components are rigorously tested for up to four hours run time under simulated real-world conditions.
During this process, the component will be spun-up, loaded to a specified capacity and tested for bearing failure and clutch slippage, all being subject to OEM specifications. This extensive testing process gives assurance of continued success over time in the field.
If a component fails a test, we diagnose the fault and provide a diagnosis of the area or section that failed. We then offer options to address the issue as fast and efficiently as possible to minimise asset down time and costs.
