Our Pinjarra workshop is certified to CC3 level through Steelwork Compliance Australia. We adhere to AS/NZS 5131, which defines best practices for the fabrication and erection of structural steelwork in Australia.
For stainless steel works, we follow AS 1554.6 for the welding of structural stainless-steel equipment. Our Sydney branch specializes in stainless steel fabrication, with welders qualified to AS3992 6G GTAW for stainless steel pressure piping applications. Learn more about this service here.
Our electrical equipment meets several safety standards. Our Electrical Panels & Boards constructed for use in Australia are certified to AS/NZS 61439. Additionally, our 1000V electrical enclosures are German-certified and come with a 30kA short circuit current rating and an optional 30kA arc fault containment rating for enhanced protection. We also manufacture electrical panels and boards for the USA and Canada, which are UL508A certified.

When exiting your vehicle on any Murray Engineering site, full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This includes high-visibility clothing with long sleeves and long pants, steel-capped boots, and safety glasses. Non-compliance with these requirements means you must remain in your vehicle.

No, we do not sell scrap metal. We have contracts with waste management and recycling providers who properly recycle our scrap metal and other recyclable materials.

We primarily intake apprentices in January and February each year. To be considered for the next year’s main intake, please submit your resumes by the end of November. Additionally, we recruit a smaller number of apprentices throughout the year on an ongoing basis. Please note that our trade assistants who perform well are given priority for apprenticeship placements. Therefore, if you are seeking an apprenticeship, we strongly encourage you to apply for trade assistant roles as they become available.
