We know that you can’t afford to wait for hours (or overnight) to charge a vehicle- especially on a mine site where downtime means lost productivity. The Murray Engineering Battery Electric Vehicle can be recharged within just 15-20 minutes to fulfill your demanding 24/7 mining operations.

Conventional Lithium Battery technology used in many electric vehicles can cause thermal-runaway fires when damaged in the field. In an underground mine, or where there are hazardous materials nearby, this causes immense safety issues.

The Murray Engineering BEV’s state-of-the-art titanium nanocrystal battery chemistry has been designed specifically for use in mining, where robust safety standards exist. These batteries have undergone comprehensive testing and development with proven thermal stability- withstanding significant physical damage.

The BEV’s optimised torque, speed, gradeability and in-field serviceability is designed to meet and exceed existing diesel LV benchmarks whilst eliminating diesel emissions completely. A smooth and powerful direct-drive Electric Motor system delivers enviable torque right from the start. With GVM upgrades of up to 4,200 kg, the Murray Engineering BEV fulfills the extreme performance and serviceability demands of the mining industry.

The Murray Engineering Battery-Electric Vehicle (BEV) offers a flexible, scalable Electric LV solution based on the venerable Toyota Landcruiser 79-series workhorse.

This foundation can be easily adapted to various mining roles and payload configurations via Murray Engineering’s extremely popular and field-proven Mine-Spec Vehicle Conversion and Upgrade Program.
